Let us introduce ourselves. We are Mark and Irit Sherman. In the beginning of 2020, we retired and began our goal of traveling the world. Unfortunately, the Covid-19 pandemic changed our plans. Instead, we were home and could only dream about traveling. However, this time at home gave us the opportunity to work on a project we have long thought about.
When we travel, wherever we are, we like to visit any Jewish heritage sites in the area. These ranges from historical synagogues, Jewish museums, Jewish cemeteries, holocaust memorials and so on. Maybe you do the same. Before a trip, we research all these places online, put their location into Google maps and figure out, based on where we will be visiting, how to add them to our schedule. As we do all that, we always thought that there must be an easier way. Thus Wandering Jew was born.

YES! Currently we are a team of only two, so progress moves slowly. We specifically need people who would like to volunteer to do internet research, update the database, or verify GPS locations. If you have any information or photos of Jewish Heritage sites to contribute, that would also be helpful. Please use the Contact Us form to be in touch and we will see how we can work together.

Can't wait to travel to Europe and try this out! Will you babysit for two weeks so we can go?
The app shows how much more there is to see. Anytime you want to take me with you to visit anywhere, I am willing to go.
This is retirement? You guys seem to be working harder than ever!
Looks good. Seems easy to use. Will give it a try next time I manage to get away.
Everyone should know that I helped upload information to the app. But then I got too busy to continue.

My favorite is the links to the 360° views of the synagogues. Makes you feel like you are really there.
Looking forward to telling all our friends to use the app. And they will tell their friends because it is a good app. Nice job!
