Let us introduce ourselves. We are Mark and Irit Sherman. In the beginning of 2020, we retired and began our goal of traveling the world. Unfortunately, the Covid-19 pandemic changed our plans. Instead, we were home and could only dream about traveling. However, this time at home gave us the opportunity to work on a project we have long thought about.
When we travel, wherever we are, we like to visit any Jewish heritage sites in the area.
These ranges from historical synagogues, Jewish museums, Jewish cemeteries, holocaust
memorials and so on. Maybe you do the same. Before a trip, we research all these places
online, put their location into Google maps and figure out, based on where we will be
visiting, how to add them to our schedule. As we do all that, we always thought that there
must be an easier way. Thus Wandering Jew was born.

YES! Currently we are a team of only two, so progress moves slowly. We specifically need people who would like to volunteer to do internet research, update the database, or verify GPS locations. If you have any information or photos of Jewish Heritage sites to contribute, that would also be helpful. Please use the Contact Us form to be in touch and we will see how we can work together.
